About World Metrics Hub
World Metrics Hub publishes comparable country statistics from public data. The current snapshot covers 195 countries and 22 indicators, with 2024 as the reference year.
Data Sources
Most indicators are World Bank World Development Indicators, licensed under CC BY 4.0. The Human Development Index comes from the UNDP Human Development Report Office, and the Education Index is computed from UNDP's schooling data using UNDP's published formula. Median age comes from the UN World Population Prospects. Both UN sources are licensed under CC BY 3.0 IGO. Attribution belongs on every profile, download, and this page.

World Happiness Report scores, corruption, democracy, press freedom, and peace indices are not in this snapshot. They will be added only when a reusable, machine-readable source is confirmed.
How updates work
A weekly GitHub Action fetches the World Bank API and the UNDP and UN population data files, validates coverage and ranges, and commits a JSON snapshot. The site is rebuilt from that commit. If a fetch fails, the last good snapshot stays live. Last checked: 9/30/2026.
Technology
The application is a static Next.js site on Vercel. Charts use Recharts. There is no request-time call to any data source, and no generated text on top of the numbers.
